Artistic director and choreographer Rafael Palacios created this work by drawing from the troupe’s personal experiences with racism and oppression in their daily lives. Using traditional and contemporary rhythms and dances, it examines the lack of opportunities for the many people of color, who for generations have endured ethnic discrimination and social inequality. This performance was recorded at the Teatro Metropolitano de Medellín in Colombia. Click HERE for the playbill.
