Notations: Lee Upton

Lee Upton is the author of fourteen books, most recently, Visitations: Stories, and Bottle the Bottles the Bottles the Bottles: Poems. Her work has appeared widely, including in The New Yorker, The New Republic, The Atlantic, World Literature Today, Bennington Review, and in three editions of Best American Poetry. A librettist and a literary critic as well as a poet and fiction writer, she is the Francis A. March Professor of English and Writer-in-Residence at Lafayette College.

Up Close & On-Stage: Deanna Witkowski Trio

Sit on-stage with the winner of the Great American Jazz Piano Competition and a past guest on Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz. New York-based pianist, composer and vocalist Witkowski has been heralded for her “consistently thrilling” playing (All Music Guide). Her recordings include liturgical music, Brazilian jazz, improvisations on classical works, and arrangements of Cole Porter standards.
