May 2026 Highlights

A MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
We look forward to seeing you in May. This weekend, Lehigh University Music Department's Choral Arts and the Wind Ensemble offer three concerts to choose from. Consider joining us for Well-Being Concerts featuring Joshua Roman and Pipo Romero—performances designed to inspire reflection and deep connection. Finally, the season ends on a high note with the electrifying NYC Ska Orchestra.
With gratitude, Mark Fitzgerald Wilson

PRESENTING SERIES

Joshua Roman is a renowned cello soloist and composer, hailed for his "effortlessly expressive tone...and playful zest for exploration" (The New York Times), as well as his "blend of precision...that goes straight to the heart" (The San Francisco Chronicle), he has performed with leading orchestras around the world, including the Los Angeles Symphony and New World Symphony.

This is where Big Band Jazz meets Jamaican Roots! Experience the powerful fusion of the NYC Ska Orchestra. Led by Kevin Batchelor and featuring the iconic Larry MacDonald, this extraordinary 20-piece ensemble brings a soulful, high-octane energy to the stage that you won’t find anywhere else. Don't miss your chance to witness this "brass-heavy bliss" live.

Pipo Romero's solo guitar works create a vivid emotional journey, blending flamenco, Celtic colors, tango, and cinematic lyricism into a sound world that feels both intimate and expansive. Each piece opens a different doorway into reflection, whether navigating chaos with grace, honoring memory, embracing companionship, or rediscovering creative renewal.
