- Presenting Series
Two days before their performance at Carnegie Hall, revered American conductor Marin Alsop leads London's Philharmonia Orchestra in a program of symphonic staples. The concert begins with Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, expressing an astonishing range of action and emotion across 20 minutes. Pianist Alexandre Kantorow, called an "exemplar of a new generation" after his 2023 Carnegie Hall debut (The New York Times), then performs the thrilling solo part in Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3. The program concludes with Bartók's riveting Concerto for Orchestra, aptly named for the soloistic spotlight it shines on each section of the ensemble. Click HERE for artist's website.
