August 2024 Highlights

A MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Lehigh students will be back in Bethlehem soon as the summer draws to a close. We look forward to their return and the first Music Department concert of the 2024-2025 season with The Trio Sallese on August 30. If you haven't had a chance to get your tickets for Fall 2024 yet, I invite you to browse the season online. We look forward to seeing everyone back in the center very soon. With gratitude, Mark Fitzgerald Wilson

PROGRAMMING UPDATE
Please note that the U.S. Army Brass Quintet performance on Friday, September 27, has been canceled. However, the talented musicians of Lehigh University's own Marching 97 are playing as scheduled at 6:30 pm for a FREE outdoor concert in Tamerler Courtyard next to the center. Join us for this spirited band!

COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
We were proud to host another Music Master Mentor program last month with Grammy Award-winning bassist Bakithi Kumalo and fellow musicians Dan Andree and June Thomas Fraser. Students explored improvisation, learned professional techniques, and exercised their musical creativity. This program was made possible by the generosity of Brenda and John McGlade '76 '81G.
