Think klezmer meets trance, Middle Eastern maqam, and West African pulses, mingling with a Brooklyn beat. Co-presented by the Philip and Muriel Berman Center for Jewish Studies, in honor of its 40th anniversary.
AMERICAN BRASS QUINTET | FRI APR 11
Considered one of the country's foremost chamber music ensembles since its founding in 1960, the quintet has performed on five continents, made nearly 60 recordings and premiered more than 150 contemporary works for brass. With support from: Klees Family Instrumental Ensemble Endowed Fund and The Long Family Endowment for Community Outreach in the Arts.

The future of a whimsical, almost magical bookstore is uncertain after the owner dies and leaves the shop to her niece Rachel. As the shop works its magic on her and she gets to know the eccentric employees and clientele, she starts to wonder: Can you really put a price on a beloved community bookstore? Nick Conti, director.

The Lehigh University Symphonic Band presents an afternoon of music from the movies and television, as well as classics from the band's repertoire, including works by Nelson, Grainger, and oh, by the way, they will throw in a couple marches for good measure. Bella Gaia performed Beautiful Earth for 955 Lehigh Valley schoolchildren.
